Export Management

Makuna International Export serves as an agent for manufacturers. As agents, we establish a marketing presence for our clients in foreign markets by soliciting orders on behalf of our client manufacturers. Makuna International Export manages the relationship between the foreign client and the manufacturer but the manufacturer manages all financial arrangements.

This service is useful to companies that do not have an export department or companies who want to increase sales but do not have a presence in certain markets.

Business Forums & Trade Mission
Makuna International is a premier business forum and trade mission consulting company. Our forums bring together visiting business executives and US companies in one location for business engagement and execution. We create customized trade missions for foreign executives and government officials visiting the US. Through our ground breaking work in Diplomatic trade consulting, we design and manage trade missions to the US on behalf of embassies outside the US.

Our complete service includes selecting suppliers, negotiating product price, packaging design and shipping.

Trade Financing Facilitation
Makuna International works with financing institutions and agencies to provide trade financing for our clients. Through our business forums, we have developed relationships with several banks that offer financing to African companies and governments. We work with the US EXIM Bank to promote US – Africa trade through the use of trade insurance facilities and direct financing.

We offer several services to our clients. We select financing opportunities that are a good match for our clients; We prepare our clients to meet the financing requirements of financing institutions; We submit letters of intent and exploratory letters on behalf of our clients; and we submit applications and manage the application process on behalf of our clients.

Trade Consulting
Makuna International provides trade consulting services to both US and African companies. We work with African governments and businesses to identify trade and partnership opportunities in the US. We seek new distribution channels for African goods in the US and provide targeted marketing strategy and advice.

Ethnic Food Imports
The growing ethnic population in the US continues to increase the demand for ethnic foods in the US. AGOA, the US trade law that allows duty free African exports into the US has added momentum to ethnic food imports. Makuna International, in partnership with Makuna International, has launched a major effort to open new distribution channels for ethnic foods in the US. Makuna International works directly with African producers of ethnic foods like Gari, Okazi (Eru, Okok), Cray Fish
